It's been a while since I last wrote a post so I'm going to give an update on some of the latest traffic figures for Adoos. This year (2008) has been a busy year like always and we've worked hard to keep growing the sites. Things have not gone as well as I would have liked them to, but I can't complain we tripled our traffic compared to 2007.
Adoos Traffic – Oct 08 (approx):
- Absolute unique visitors: 10+ million (per month)
- Pageviews: 100+ million (per month)
Adoos Tech:
- Servers: 25
- Data Centres: 2 (US and Spain)
- Technology: PHP, MySQL, Apache, RedHat

First time that I visited your site today. While it looks good and comprehensive my first impressions is that it is a spam bucket. I clicked on 3 ads. One had “expired” over a week ago, and two were to sites that did not provide the product (or price) at least obviously, and were themselves overseas sites that seemed to be just a collection of links to other sites. If you are really going to have a geographical based classified ad site of some repute then I think you need to spend some time separating the wheat from the chaff. Don’t leave to you visitors to flag it as spam, you need to put the effort in.
Maybe for your next post put up some stats on how many bgus ads you have weeded out.
I appreciate your desire to get ahead, but i think you need to think seriously about to keep customers coming back.

It’s good to know you are again updating your blog Julian. I used to follow it 1 or 2 years ago but then you left it without modifications for a little… it’ll be great to watch and read inner stories from adoos on your posts! Keep the great work! 🙂

Complimenti.

Hi Andy
You are right.. we have lots of spam.. but you cannot believe how hard it is to fight spammers/scammers, millions posting an ad every day.
We are working like crazy building a tool that will help us fight spammers in the future.
